1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Bitcord Messenger application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Bitcord provides a cloud-based, serverless messaging platform utilizing local-first encryption principles. Features include peer-to-peer data transfers, channels, integrated token wallets, and automated bot systems.

3. Account & Anonymity

Bitcord does not require a phone number or email address for verification. Account authorization relies directly on your device's native ecosystem configurations (such as your Google Account profile). You are entirely responsible for maintaining the local backup security of your accounts and any associated cryptographic wallets.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to engage in any illicit activity, including but not limited to:

5. Token and Financial Ecosystem

All transactional models inside public or private channels rely on peer-to-peer operations. Bitcord acts as an interface provider and does not hold custody of user tokens. Financial exchange values adapt strictly to public blockchain parameters. Platform operations are irreversible once validated by the respective ledgers.

6. Limitation of Liability

Because Bitcord features a local-first operational data layout, communication metadata is not stored on external cloud infrastructure. Deleted data cannot be recovered by the platform developers. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind regarding connectivity, uptime, or data continuity.

7. Updates and Modifications

Bitcord reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application following automatic or manual client patching constitutes full compliance and acceptance of updated agreements.
